About
Hattie Crowther is a Hull-born designer based in East London. Her work sits at the intersection of sportswear, protest and personal identity. A graduate of the MA Menswear course at Westminster, she creates non-binary garments shaped by her Northern upbringing, lived experience and the subcultures she grew up around. Her collections blend historical British references with a raw, DIY energy, using silhouette, material and message to tell honest, uncompromising stories.
Fashion, for Crowther, is a tool for disruption. Collections like F** FIFA* and F** The Fans* reimagine the football shirt as a form of protest, confronting power structures, gender norms and the commercialisation of fandom. She works with deadstock and upcycled materials, focusing on craft and commentary rather than trend.
She has collaborated with Nike, VERSUS, SEASON zine, Adobe and more. Her work has been worn by A$AP Rocky and featured in The Face, Dazed, Vogue, Highsnobiety, COPA90 and SoccerBible. Alongside her design practice, she teaches sportswear at London College of Fashion and lectures at Kingston University.
Crowther’s work exists to challenge the norm and open up conversation in the football and fashion space, offering a perspective that is deeply personal, political and proud of its roots.
